Google was Microsoft's contender for GitHubit acquisition


A Google chief acknowledged that the search giant had lost the battle for the acquisition of GitHub. Speaking to Fortune Magazine, Diane Greene, the cloud service chief, confirmed speculation. Earlier, it was speculated that Google had also prepared an offer along with Microsoft.

The founder of GitHub had chosen Microsoft because of the approach he had with Satya Nadella, the TheTechGuy conveyed. GitHub is a coding platform that has become quite popular among developers and companies that keep projects, documentation, and codes in it. Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and many other big companies use GitHub. There are 85 million hosts hosted on GitHub with 28 million developers.
