Soon, the photos you cast on Instagram may catch the robot that will follow you through the house. It is assumed that this will be the next step in Facebook, if it is to be realized. Facebook's company provided a patent for building a self-balancing robot, which would be able to stand in two or three feet. This robot will be equipped with a screen, camera and microphone, writes CNN, conveys The Tech Guy.
According to the patent, the robot may have other capabilities such as cargo transportation and a cooling system to control its temperature. It's unclear what Facebook can do with a robot, but its potential is huge. A self-balancing robot can be used for conference videos. Facebook has introduced Messenger's video calls since 2015. A home robot can also be used to capture photos and videos autonomously for Facebook and other platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp. However, companies often get many patents, but very few of them return to real products. The self-balancing robot's patent was filed by a Facebook employee who previously worked in a robotic company. These types of robots remain an expensive product. They cost a few thousand dollars.
