Apple will soon reveal the next generation of iPhone operating system in the form of iOS 12 which will apparently change the iPhone into major replacements.
According to The Information sources, Apple is working on an iOS 12 feature that will allow wider and smarter use of its NFC-free contact system.
Apple will soon reveal the generation of new ardNFC will be able to work with applications even when the phone is blocked. That means you can use your iPhone as a doorbell by touching the entry - without having to open an app.
Current systems often use Bluetooth and may allow similar use, but require the application to be open on your phone - which overcomes the facility to make it easier to open the doors.
The source claims that Apple is already testing this system around their staff campus using their iPhone to unlock the doors and gain access.
