Facebook Lite is a bare version of Facebook that is designed to use much less mobile data / internet than the standard app. The application has been available in a number of countries around the world and is now coming to the UK, the US and many other countries.
Facebook is launching the Facebook Lite app in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland and New Zealand and more.
The app will be available to download in the above sites this week but is also intended for use on older Android devices and slower internet connections.
The Facebook Lite app will probably be available to download from these sites today.
